MoralGenius Grounded in Faith
In
the United States as a whole, the major goals of
primary education are achieving basic literacy and
math competency among all pupils, as well as
establishing foundations in science, higher
mathematics, geography, history and other social
sciences. The relative priority of various subject
areas, and the methods used to teach them, are
subject to a great deal of variation. In recent
years there has been a growing awareness at all
levels of education that teaching moral and ethical
values to children is an indispensable
component of a well rounded education.
We at MoralGenius are in complete agreement with that
goal and our basic product line reflects that
agreement. However, there many schools where the
teaching the fundamentals of moral and ethical
decision making are grounded in faith. To meet that
perceived need we have developed the "Flashes of
Faith" card series. In the "Flashes of Faith" card
series, the "answer" or teaching lesson is
accompanied by an appropriate Scriptural reference
which encourages parent and child to explore the
scriptural basis for rules of appropriate behavior
and decision making.
Each MoralGenius™ card is
designed to present a real-life, age-appropriate
scenario as well as one or more questions about that
scenario and some possible responses--all designed to
get your child thinking. With this approach,
children have a chance to practice thinking for
themselves--and they should then be better able to deal
with actual situations that come up in their own lives.

The card set for 3 to 5 year olds feature bright, primary colors and adorable cartoon "spokescharacters. The cards discuss topics that are relevant and appropriate to their stage of development including Patience, Listening, Hard Work, Kindness and Caring with an appropriate reference to one or more Bible verses.
We have created these cards to keep with a format that is familiar to your child with questions and answers just as you would work on letter sounds or a foreign language. We encourage you to enter into deeper discussion with your children about how you apply these principles in your own life: Have your children describe to you how they have seen these principles at work in experiences they have had or in movies they have seen, role play scenarios depicted in the cards, or notice your children displaying these traits and reward them for this. Parental modeling is another useful adjunct to the cards. This card set also includes a set "reward" stickers featuring the spokescharacters you can use to highlight and encourage improvements and accomplishments in behavior.
We understand that developing character and values in your children takes time, but we believe that time invested now will pay off many times over in the future. One-by-one we believe parents like you will change the future of America.
We have provided a variety of places for you to provide us feedback. If you enjoyed these cards, similar cards for early elementary and elementary students are also available on our website.

The cards for 6 to 8 year olds features fun colors and photos of real 6 to 8 year old youngsters. In this set of cards, we explore topics appropriate to their stage of development including Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, Empathy, and Courage with an appropriate reference to one or more Bible verses.
We hope this format gives you time to bond with your child and time to share your expectations and thoughts about certain scenarios before the events (or similar ones) transpire in their lives. It is our hope that by having this resource, discussions about good choices (even when no one is watching) is easier. Remember, some studies show that by age 7 children are more likely to listen to their peers than to their parents when making decisions. Now is the time to spend time with your child and to educate them about what makes people successful in life.
his card set also includes a set "reward" stickers featuring the spokescharacters you can use to highlight and encourage improvements and accomplishments in behavior.
As always, discussions about how you have come across these issues in your life, evaluation of how these traits are present or missing in characters in books they've read or enjoyed on the screen, role play, and positive rewards for real-time demonstration of these traits is also encouraged. Role modeling and activities to reinforce learning are also encouraged. For example, field trips to an animal shelter or nursing home can be helpful in fostering empathy and respect. Similarly, try challenging your child to try a new sport to foster courage. Parents like you will change the future of America and the world!.

These cards feature a Nature Theme with delightful images to keep older children interested in learning. These 40 color cards focus on self-control, vision, doing-the-right thing, problem solving, and having a positive attitude and further illustrated by one or more Scriptural references.
These flashcards come with colorful erasers that carry out the Nature Theme which can be used to reward and encourage appropriate behavior.
In most cases, the cards
don't offer "right" answers versus "wrong" answers.
If they did, the result would be simple rote
learning--and your child would be able to "finish" a set
of cards in no time at all. Instead, for the most
part the cards encourage your child to see a range of
responses and to come to understand, with your guidance,
why some responses are "better" or "more appropriate"
than others. In this way, solid character traits
and values have a better chance of becoming part of who
they are rather than something they merely know "by
heart."
There are 7 sets of MoralGenius
flashcards. Each set contains 40 colorful cards with age
appropriate graphics and scenarios. The cards are designed to
help give parents the words and time to communicate a value system
to their children. The cards can be used for discussion before
bed, as bonding time between an older sibling and a younger one,
creatively for role playing, and in a silly way to discuss wrong
answers. Extension activities can include setting up scenarios
for kids to see if what they do in certain scenarios they find
themselves in, talking about how characters in books and movies
mimic the traits on the cards, and rewarding children who
spontaneously display the values discussed.
